Namaste

I want to personal thank Rob Britt For such a lovely comment about the Hands I drew. I thoroughly enjoyed doing this. It was a challenge. I'm still obsessed with drawing hands. Lots and Lots of "books"- Along with Classes, and so on. I have a vision of what I want- I will do this- and enjoy every minute of it- Thank you, Rob.

Rob Britt said... Hands are the toughest part of the body to draw realistically. I think you have done A great job with these. They show real ability.

Namaste, I love new "words" I truly love the meaning of this word Alaism "Namaste" means: ▪ The Spirit in me meets the same Spirit in you. ▪ I greet that place where you and I are one. ▪ I salute the Light of God in you. ▪ I bow to the divine in you. ▪ I recognize that within each of us is a place where Divinity dwells, and when we are in that place,

we are One. ala-ism.pansitan.net/2006/12/namaste-namaste-means-spir... ala-ism.pansitan.net/2006/12/namaste-namaste-means-spirit-in-me.html Rob Britt

The Right Words

Lord, give me the right words to say
To broken hearts that come my way
To those who have been hurt before
That, I not hurt them any more

To those whose hearts have hardened up
To those who won't hold out their cup
That, Lord, You long to overflow
With love and mercy.  Lord, let me know

That I might have the words to say
That I might plant a seed today
That glory would be given to You
Through all I say and all I do

Lord, give me the right words to say
More hearts are breaking every day
They're out there crying in the night
I long to help them see the light

But, fragile are those souls and weak
So this is why Your words I seek
And pray Thee give me words to say
That I, not one soul, turn away.

The greatest achievement

" The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn, the bird waits in the egg, and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of realities." - James Allen

The Power of Appreciation

The Power of Appreciation by Bob Tschannen-Moran

I really love this man and his web-site A lot of people in the WORLD want to MAKE A DIFFERENCE and he is truly one of them. I always try and be more empathic listener and communicator.

God and the Universe wants us to be Beacon's of Light- For the Positive not negative- Let our Light shine- to be a Voice -to someone that doesn't know how-

( Don't have the words to express How-What-or Why- they Feel the way they do,) I hope that when you read these words they will encourage your hopes- They sure have for me. Bless your Day and loved ones with your presents- we are all her for a special reason and that is Love. God Bless you Bob It's All Good!

That's another way to talk about the perfection of life, even when life is obviously not perfect. How can we say that? Try it this way: life can always be appreciated as a learning laboratory. No matter what happens, we can learn, grow, and stretch for the stars. "It's all good!" communicates that sense of wonder that I seek to cultivate on a daily basis; I would invite you to do the same through meditation, prayer, breathwork, visualization, relaxation, or whatever practices speak to your spirit. Work Your Attitude. My practice of thanking the spectators that line the routes of major marathons is but one example of working our attitude. It's not enough just to feel appreciation on the inside; we also have to communicate appreciation on the outside. We saw that in so many ways during our trip to southeast Asia. Time after time, people were smiling and going out of their way to be friendly. That may sound like a small thing, but it made a big difference to us and, I hope, to them. For appreciation to take hold, we have actively and courageously work that attitude. Appreciate Beauty. We can always notice beauty because beauty is everywhere. If we fail to notice beauty it's not because there is nothing beautiful to see, hear, taste, smell, or feel. It's just because we are choosing to look the other way. Don't do that. Don't let that happen. Step back and smell the roses. Find something beautiful to appreciate. Then find ways to enhance that through your own effort, choice, and creativity. You and the world will be glad you did.

God Bless, and thank you for landing here

Art Of Healing

Gosh, I sat down to write and I saw this picture. The Title is -Art of Healing-, wow I just sat and looked at this for sometime… Just wondering is it that easy? So I gave it a try… I’m slowly letting Go. Isn’t that’s what the balloon with the heart in it  is saying?.. I will look unto this as it fades. People will come and go into your life, Some with love some with their hurts!. We let them in… We  really don’t want to expect a lot from them. Just the same in return, Compassion, understanding… and of all else certainly not judgment. So I am letting go and putting –people-places- and things- in perspective-

I thank God for my blog and the people I follow- it is great place to land and take a long deep breathe of air. I count my blessing everyday. Putting life first, My family and friends- that’s my life…

Weight Loss & Lose the Weight

Trying to lose the weight from eating way to much. From not smoking, since the beginning of the year. I don’t want to say that I quit smoking, I just stopped, that’s all. It wasn’t easy ( It was worth every inch’s and weight I put on ) Kuddo’s to any one that has stopped smoking, or is trying not too smoke. Even if it is just for a day. I used the patches and that really helped me a lot. Also strong mints…. So I am losing the weight from all of the FOOD I put in the ole mouth. I haven’t been on a scale ( Yikes ) scary thing  (scale) goosh doesn’t that word sound weird. Reality . It has been a long time since I wrote anything on my blog…

Want to inspire people to stop smoking. I still love the smell of a Cig- dang I don’t think I will be one of those ex-smokes- I don’t like the smell on my clothes and such… So anyway just a thought for Today

I am the soft star that shines at night. By Lynn

Do not stand by and weep, I do not sleep

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond glints upon the snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain and

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush,

I am that swift uplifting rush,

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft star that shines at night.

What is Poetry

Reblog this post [with Zemanta]

magnetic poetry

What is Poetry?

Grasping at the Indefinable

By Mark Flanagan, About.com

There are as many definitions of poetry as there are poets. Wordsworth defined poetry as "the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings;" Emily Dickinson said, "If I read a book and it makes my body so cold no fire ever can warm me, I know that is poetry;" and Dylan Thomas defined poetry this way: "Poetry is what makes me laugh or cry or yawn, what makes my toenails twinkle, what makes me want to do this or that or nothing."
Poetry is a lot of things to a lot of people. Homer's epic,The Oddysey, described the wanderings of the adventurer, Odysseus, and has been called the greatest story ever told. During the English Renaissance, dramatic poets like John Milton, Christopher Marlowe, and of course Shakespeare gave us enough to fill textbooks, lecture halls, and universities. Poems from the romantic period include Goethe's Faust (1808), Coleridge's "Kubla Khan" and John Keats' "Ode on a Grecian Urn."
Shall I go on? Because in order to do so, I would have to continue through 19th century Japanese poetry, early Americans that include Emily Dickinson and T.S. Eliot, postmodernism, experimentalists, slam...
So what is poetry?
Perhaps the characteristic most central to the definition of poetry is its unwillingness to be defined, labeled, or nailed down. But let's not let that stop us, shall we? It's about time someone wrestled poetry to the ground and slapped a sign on it's back reading, "I'm poetry. Kick me here."
Poetry is the chiseled marble of language; it's a paint-spattered canvas - but the poet uses words instead of paint, and the canvas is you. Poetic definitions of poetry kind of spiral in on themselves, however, like a dog eating itself from the tail up. Let's get nitty. Let's, in fact, get gritty. I believe we can render an accessible definition of poetry by simply looking at its form and its purpose:
One of the most definable characteristics of the poetic form is economy of language. Poets are miserly and unrelentingly critical in the way they dole out words to a page. Carefully selecting words for conciseness and clarity is standard, even for writers of prose, but poets go well beyond this, considering a word's emotive qualities, its musical value, its spacing, and yes, even its spacial relationship to the page. The poet, through innovation in both word choice and form, seemingly rends significance from thin air.
How am I doing so far? On to purpose:
One may use prose to narrate, describe, argue, or define. There are equally numerous reasons for writing poetry. But poetry, unlike prose, often has an underlying and over-arching purpose that goes beyond the literal. Poetry is evocative. It typically evokes in the reader an intense emotion: joy, sorrow, anger, catharsis, love... Alternatively, poetry has the ability to surprise the reader with an Ah Ha! Experience -- revelation, insight, further understanding of elemental truth and beauty. Like Keats said:
"Beauty is truth. Truth, beauty.
That is all ye know on Earth and all ye need to know."
How's that? Do we have a definition yet?
Poetry is artistically rendering words in such a way as to evoke intense emotion or an Ah Ha! experience from the reader.
Pretty unsatisfying, huh? Kind of leaves you feeling cheap, dirty, all hollow and empty inside… like Chinese food.
Don't do this. Don't shackle poetry with your definitions. Poetry is not a frail and cerebral old woman, you know. Poetry is stronger than you think. Poetry is imagination and will break those chains faster than you can say "Harlem Renaissance."
To borrow a phrase, poetry is a riddle wrapped in an enigma swathed in a cardigan sweater… or something like that. It doesn't like your definitions and will shirk them at every turn. If you really want to know what poetry is, read it. Read it carefully. Pay attention. Read it out loud. Now read it again.
There's your definition of poetry. Because defining poetry is like grasping at the wind - once you catch it, it's no longer wind.

Poem with love to my Grand Children

Time goes by so fleetingly

Hearts can melt or break

Life is for the young, child

Nothings give or take

In this world of beauty, ugliness, love and hate

You will shine with brilliance, child

In the world you can create

Don’t look at the smirks, child

Don’t look at the sneers

Your smile can change the cloudy skies

Don’t have any fears

Your life is like a diamond

So precious and so clear

Yes, you are the precious one

Shining in this great sphere

Listen to the mustn'ts, child

Listen to the don’ts

Listen to the shouldn’ts

The impossible, the won'ts

Listen to the never haves

Then listen close to me

Anything can happen, child

Anything can be.

Prayer-"I am patient”

I am patient. I am able to live with ambiguity. I am able to allow situations to evolve and alter. I am able to await outcomes. I tolerate quiet periods of non-knowing while solutions emerge and present themselves. I do not force solutions. I expect the successful working-out of difficulties and differences. My heart is wise. It knows when to act and when non-action is the action to take. I trust my patient heart."    by Julia Cameron"

Making a Difference

I know of someone whom everyday makes a difference… her name is Mary Robinson Reynolds.

Her website is http://www.makeadifference.com/

I don’t know if it is me or what…but sometimes we all just need a hug. Have a heart give a heart… have Compassion , put yourself in someone else’s shoes.. feel what they feel.

Knowing doesn’t always have to be the answer. Just letting someone know that you hear their Voice. Acknowledge them, calm them by just listening. Connect with them. I believe people don’t need to know what…Just being their for someone.. I know I have listen to many of people, and I do believe LOVE IS THE ONLY WAY

sURE i jOKE AROUND, MAKE LIGHT of things… I care.. why because I am there .

Say, “ I hear you- I feel your pain-" I do understand what you are going thru”. let me yell with, let me hug you, let me hold you.. If you can’t be there in person, a kind voice ,a soft whisper. Just knowing you are their

PLEASE MAKE A DIFFERENCE TODAY- IN SOMEONE’S LIFE

My Aunt’s Hands

  My Aunts Hands

My hands I look at my hands

I wake up suddenly and see's the strength the hard work

Lines of truth in each curve,

Arthritis has set in, I ask please don't fail me now

There is still much left to achieve

More hugs a gentle touch

When I hug or chop something up

I don't want to hurt and pull back in pain

Lord God Universe please give me more time to do your work

Without pain or hesitation or to pause on which task to take

Hand to hold from this day forward

Use them wisely- point in one direction not at someone

Practice this always each day on

Hands to hold from this day forward

To praise to lift up

Give thanks always

Hands- remarkable- Loving-Kind- to wipe away tears

Not to make tears

To my Aunt Small and frail

Mother of Ten- Wife to three-Grandmother and Great Grandmother

So many hugs an loves

Sister to my father. Mother to all

Hands are tired

Longing

She wants to cook her favorite meal

Time is at hand soul wants to escape

Be young just once more

Free as a young Woman

Wants one more Dance

My Aunt.. Sister of my Father Mother of Ten

Be still- Take Care and love once more

A quite Place

HPIM1173

Early morning in a quite place, the ground is waking to a new day.. stretching pulling towards the sun..Aw a warm breeze, looking up to get a glimpse.. A bird singing it’s own tune.. to  praise – the- warmth- of- a- summer’s- day

A drink of water and on it’s way, life is good what a wonderful day

Recycled water fountain

HPIM1182

Have snow peas, sugar peas- tomatoes- Basil- Lavender- Dill-Thyme-

Love to recycle things- all from organic soil

Veggie waste- shredded tax returns-and junk mail

I can taste them now-

Heaven

I don't know if you can see it!... but if you look real close in the picture.. you can see heaven..

Be Still

I've seen a glimpse into the lake trees Covered blanket shore it slowly reveals one's self The moon the sun set on the reflection- shore People pass to look a silent ripple of the wave The wind whispers it's name A quiet whisper shhh no more A look around - no one around A sound of relief A secret, a big exhale. Breathe life again I look across the horizon to see a reflection, Come, come be still Listen no more to the rage the torrent, the crazy no more Please, Please, be still.. Look unto the horizon- see yourself the Beauty the still. God... Has giving the Universe... Still Please be silent please be still

Hands

I often wonder life without hands No signature- no hands to hold- a face to touch- a hug to give Touch-paint-garden- cook-all I know What would Life be, no flowers to grow Can't imagine this to be.So please tell me what would it be A smile may walk away Does anyone care just to lend a hand..take a hand- lend -a- hand I don't have the answers- I do have a hug, a helping hand to lend I will plant my seeds and tend my garden, One can't pull all the weeds out So I water and feed I will take care of them too

Reflection Of You and Me

As I sit at my desk and look, there is a picture starring back at me-

A Reflection of days gone by,

A picture of you and Me!

Mom and Dad

A childs cry….

We both smile, life ahead, hands we hold

Hope that we have...

A smile Reflects of you and me..

60 years has pasted of you and me

So filled with hope so filled with love.. 30ish style

A young mans dreams, of soupped up cars, and a wife's dream

A wish of luck of many more to come

Reflections of hope of you and me.

I wrote this Poem for my Parents: I look at their picture on my desk, so filled with love
