Gratefulness

The divine essence

Gratefulness

I am grateful for simply being.

Counting my blessings is a thoughtful practice, which helps me maintain an attitude of gratitude. It is good, though, to move beyond gratitude for people, places and things, to gratefulness for existence itself.

Going within, I begin by appreciating this moment of peace. Then I become grateful for simply being. This shift in consciousness allows me to fully experience my oneness with the divine Presence, oneness with all that is. The peace I feel is expansive. My gratitude opens wide the realization that I am more than my body, my personality, my experiences--I am an expression of the Divine. I've been given this moment in time to exist in this world, to love and to serve, to follow my bliss. And for this, I am truly grateful for all the that has been bestowed  unto me.

Giving thanks for the Daily word- Of Unity

I will thank you forever.--Psalm 52:9

Renewal

A dove, symbolizing the Holy Spirit, who is be...

I am renewed and ready to take the next step.

When my car needs gas, I refuel the tank. When my faith needs refueling, I pause and pray. I sit in silent meditation, allowing the strength and peace of Spirit to fill me. Praying renews my faith and gives me the power to move forward.

I say a prayer of thanksgiving for the divine mystery of life. God is as near to me as my breath, and yet beyond understanding. Communion with God through prayer and meditation is all the fuel I need. It fills me with the assurance that all is well.

Renewed and ready to set out in the right direction, I take the next step on my divine path.

But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, ... they shall run and not be weary.--Isaiah 40:31

Gratitude

Gratitude , The Tall Ships' Races, Szczecin 2007

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity. It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow."

Grace

I am Graced by God

From breakfast to dinner, meals are a time to bless and give thanks. By saying grace, whether silently or aloud, I acknowledge that God is my source and that food is God's gift of vitality, energy and strength. I am grateful for and aware of God's activity in my life, and I radiate this appreciation from my heart to the gifts before me. A blessing of gratitude makes the meal even more nourishing.

Whether grabbing a snack prepared by someone else's loving hands or serving a meal I have prepared, I recognize that I am graced by God. Anytime I nourish my body today, I praise God for the goodness that is ever present. Thank you, God, for the gift before me today; I am blessed in every way.

He took bread; and giving thanks to God in the presence of all, he broke it and began to eat.--Acts 27:35

Guidance

I am inspired and guided by the light of God.

In ancient rituals, people rose in the morning and turned toward the sun, honoring the source of light and warmth that sustained all life. Even on cloudy days they turned in the sun's direction and honored the source they knew to be present.

I turn within to find the light of God that is always there. I close my eyes and remove my attention from any confusion. I place my focus on my breath and open my mind. In the stillness, I receive the guidance I need. I am not in darkness, for God's light is ever shining, illuminating a path to my highest good.

With new awareness, I see possibilities for greater good in my relationships, health and finances. I keep my eyes turned toward the Light and trust the guidance I receive.

The Lord went in front of them ... in a pillar of fire by night, to give them light.--Exodus 13:21
